PHILADELPHIA, May 25, 2020 – The Beech Companies, Inc., a small nonprofit founded to revitalize disadvantaged communities in Philadelphia would have been celebrating its 30th anniversary with a big dinner on May 28th. As fate would have it, the COVID-19 pandemic changed those plans.
New funding supports operating expenses and promotes racial equity at 22 local organizations responding to increased demands and organizational stressors of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In celebration of its 30th Anniversary in service to the community, the Beech Companies, Inc., through Beech Community Services, has published an online, digital community resources directory in an effort to identify local, regional and national resources that can help uplift and improve the quality of life for families, individuals and communities in the Philadelphia region.
Chester County’s Commissioners have stepped up to help local nonprofits recover from the impact of COVID-19. Through the Restore Chester County Nonprofit Innovation & Resiliency Fund, the Commissioners obtained $3.5 million in federal CARES Act funding.
