The William Penn Foundation announced $9.7 million in grants for Creative Communities
In November, the William Penn Foundation Board of Directors approved grants of nearly $20 million in support of Great Learning, Great Public Spaces and Watershed Protection.
A combined $895,000 in grants from Connelly & William Penn Foundations will support University City District's West Philadelphia Sklils Initiative (WPSI).
$250,000 from William Penn Foundation will support a plan for an ongoing, city-wide survey of historic and cultural assets.
An additional $1.5 million in support for the fund also was announced, including contributions from William Penn Foundation ($1million), Wells Fargo ( $250,000), TD Bank ($100,000) and Philadelphia Health Partnership, Santander Bank and the Samuel S. Fels Fund ( $50,000 each).
