2018 Forum Annual Conference - July 16-18 in Boston, MA

The Forum’s 2018 Annual Conference will be the nation’s largest gathering of regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations

#ForumCon18 will bring together the leadership and staff of all regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs) working to advance, inform and support the nation’s philanthropic sector. The conference will focus on two major themes: advancing racial equity, diversity and inclusion in philanthropy; and advancing partnership and collaboration in philanthropy; focusing on the role for PSOs in this work. You’ll be inspired by a roster of engaging keynote speakers; build your skills in key functional areas for PSOs; have plenty of structured and informal time to network with your peers; and have several opportunities to explore the vibrant and historic city of Boston.

Program Highlights

  • Advancing Racial Equity in America plenary session featuring three nationally renowed writers and thinkers on race in America and the historical context of today's racial inequities.

  • Plenary session on The Future of Collaboration and Partnership in Philanthropy with three nonprofit and philanthropy leaders who represent key partners for our network.

  • CEO Summit for the chief executives of regional and national PSOs to come together for a fully day with your peers for in-depth learning, sharing and reflection.

  • Sessions for each of the Forum's Peer Communities to take a deep dive into your work and to connect with those who share your job responsibilities.

  • Emerging Practitioners Conversation for attendees with 10 years or less in philanthropy.

  • NEW in 2018! Mid-Level Practitioners Conversation for attendees neither at the beginning nor at the peak of leadership in your professional journey but somewhere in between.

  • Welcome reception at the Hampshire House, a turn-of-the-century mansion on historic Beacon Hill.

  • A selection of highly practical and interactive skill-building sessions covering issues relevant to our unique roles at PSOs in areas of communication, policy, membership, programming and more.

  • Practical sessions on racial equity, diversity and inclusion to help you advance these issues in your organization and with your members.
