Representatives from the Nonprofit Repositioning Fund and BCT Partners will share the results of a newly released study: The Financial Health of Greater Philadelphia Nonprofits. The study builds upon a framework established in the 2017 report, The Financial Health of Philadelphia-Area Nonprofits, that was supported by the Philadelphia Foundation.
The session will introduce the data, the methodology, and reflect upon the surrounding context for assessing — and planning for — the financial health of our region’s nonprofits. Whereas the prior study introduced a risk management framework, the current report emphasizes the need for resilience and survival strategies for nonprofits in the current environment. The panel will discuss the vital role that funders and trustees can play at this challenging time in helping nonprofit leaders to face into and plan for the future, using data as a means to inform those decisions with eyes wide open.
