Are you using principles of Trust Based Philanthropy and don’t even know it? When philanthropist Carole Haas Gravagno and Stanford Thompson teamed up a decade ago to plan and launch the music education program Play On Philly, the journey and relationship impacted their own lives as much as those of the students. By embracing the principles of equity in building musical communities in Philadelphia's most challenged neighborhoods, Carole and Stanford were able to create more than thriving spaces for youth to discover their capacity for growth. In this session, Stanford leads an open conversation with Carole about the values that guided her support of Play On Philly and the equitable principles that provided opportunities for him to grow into an effective leader in the field. Join us to hear from these two friends and colleagues as they share how a trust-based approach strengthened their relationship, advanced their efforts to build this successful program together, and what they learned from each other along the way.
