Nonprofits and foundations are invited to join Council of New Jersey Grantmakers for the 2022 Virtual Spring Colloquium: A Conversation for the Social Sector: Igniting Equitable Systems Change Together.
Grantmakers and nonprofits grapple with complex, structural issues every day, and take on the difficult questions to move our collective work forward. During this dynamic half day event, panelists will lift up strategies to strengthen nonprofit-funder relationships, advance cross-sector collaboration, and shift power to communities. Together, we'll explore how the social sector can challenge long-standing orthodoxies in philanthropy, and our everyday work, to ignite transformational change.
Featured Panelists:
- Dr. John H. Jackson, President and CEO, Schott Foundation for Public Education
- Tulaine Montgomery, Co-CEO, New Profit
- John S. Watson, Jr., Co-Executive Director, New Jersey Conservation Foundation
- Dana Kawaoka-Chen, Co-Director and founding Executive Director, Justice Funders (Moderator)
Following an inspiring panel presentation and case studies highlighting concrete examples of systems change, participants will have the opportunity to exchange insights and learn from peers in small group discussions.
This event is open to both funders and nonprofits.
