Creative Philadelphia provides creative and economic opportunities for all Philadelphians to thrive through the arts. The office advances public access to arts and culture, collaborates with local creative communities, and celebrates the city’s cultural assets, contributing to a safer, cleaner, and greener city.
With collaboration as a core value, Valerie will provide an update on her work to leverage the arts for healing, joy, and unity, eradicate the “starving artist” narrative, and celebrate artists from diverse communities so that all Philadelphians can access the transformative power of the arts.
