Join us on Tuesday, October 8 from 12:00-1:15pm for the next meeting of Philanthropy Network's Arts & Culture Funders Community of Practice. Share your latest work with fellow arts funders and hear from Valerie V. Gay, the Chief Cultural Officer of the newly named CREATIVE PHILADELPHIA*! Creative Philadelphia provides creative and economic opportunities for all Philadelphians to thrive through the arts. The office advances public access to arts and culture, collaborates with local creative communities, and celebrates the city’s cultural assets, contributing to a safer, cleaner, and greener city.

With collaboration as a core value, Valerie will provide an update on her work to leverage the arts for healing, joy, and unity, eradicate the “starving artist” narrative, and celebrate artists from diverse communities so that all Philadelphians can access the transformative power of the arts.

Registration for this event is open to Philanthropy Network members.

* In 2020, the Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy became a program of the Managing Director’s Office. Under the Mayor Cherelle L. Parker administration, as of 2024, the office is now part of the Office of the Mayor and known as Creative Philadelphia.
