Join Bridging the Gaps for an information-packed morning of discussion with individuals promoting health and well-being in urban communities. The agenda includes Reflections from 2020 BTG Student Interns,  Keynote Address by Color Of Change President Rashad Robinson, and BTG Alumni Panel Discussion.

Keynote Speaker Rashad Robinson:

Rashad Robinson is the award-winning president of Color Of Change, a leading racial justice organization with more than seven million members. Color Of Change uses innovative strategies to effect systemic change that positively impacts black people’s lives. Tactics include forcing corporations to stop supporting Trump initiatives and white nationalists; framing net neutrality as a civil rights issue; holding local prosecutors accountable to end mass incarceration, police violence and financial exploitation across the justice system; forcing more than 100 corporations to abandon ALEC, the secretive right-wing policy shop; and forcing Bill O’Reilly off the air, among others. Fast Company has named Color Of Change three times to its Most Innovative list.

As the organization’s leader, Robinson also serves as a consultant, speaker, writer and media guest. The New York Times, Wired, The Root, The Washington Post and other major news outlets have profiled him. He was a member of the inaugural cohort of Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity and serves on the board of the Hazen Foundation.
