Plan to join the Bridging the Gaps network and keynote speaker Gary Younge, London-based professor, award-winning author, and editorial board member of The Nation, for an information-packed morning of discussion with individuals promoting health and well-being in urban communities.

Gary Younge is an award-winning author, broadcaster, and professor of sociology at the University of Manchester. He is an editorial board member of The Nation and an Alfred Knobler Fellow at Type Media. Formerly a writer for The Guardian, he served for 12 years as a U.S. correspondent before becoming an editor-at-large. He left in 2020 to pursue academia. He has authored six books, including “Another Day in the Death of America, A Chronicle of Ten Short Lives” (2016), which was nominated for six awards and won the J. Anthony Lukas Prize from Columbia Journalism School and the Nieman Foundation. He has written for The New York Review of Books, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Financial Times, among other publications. Younge has created radio and television documentaries on subjects ranging from gay marriage to Brexit.
