To kick off our 2023 Closing the Gender Wealth Gap Forum series, we're starting at the beginning to better understand the origins of wealth and power in the United States. A historical context of the systems, structures, and policies that have created vastly different experiences of wealth accumulation is critical for understanding the gender wealth gap today. Join our expert panelists to learn about how the past continues to influence the present, and how we can use this knowledge to create new realities for gender and racial equity.

Moderated by Alicia Atkinson, MPP; Managing Director of Financial Empowerment, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey

Panelists Include:

  • Candace Moody; Lead Racial and Ethnic Justice Community Organizer, Community Action Lehigh Valley
  • Dr. Onaje Muid, DSW, MSW, CADC, LMHC; The Fatherhood Coordinator, The Foundation for Delaware County
  • Tiffany Younger, MSSP; Liberation Health Science Fellow, Insight Center
