The Salem Health and Wellness Foundation is excited to sponsor a very special Community Conversation with nationally recognized child advocate and lawyer, Andrew Bridge. Andrew is a bestselling author who has written a book highlighting the story of a successful class action suit against the institutional mistreatment of children who had experienced trauma in their own families. His personal story of growing up in care is compelling and was the subject of his New York Times bestselling first book, Hope’s Boy.
Read the PRESS RELEASE about Andrew Bridge's latest book, The Child Catcher.
Andrew was removed from his mother’s care at age six, spent twelve years in care, then subsequently studied at Wesleyan University and Harvard University School of Law. He was also a Fulbright Scholar. As a lawyer and child advocate, Andrew’s work has taken him all over the country, where he has led successful efforts to improve the circumstances for children and their parents.
