Many of us are individually, and as a community within the philanthropic sector, reflecting on the events of January 6, 2021. We do so while also managing through the personal and professional ramifications of the global pandemic, continued economic, racial and social crises. We ended last year saying “What a year!” and hoping that this year would bring fewer challenges. Well, welcome to 2021!!

As change-makers within philanthropy, we must consider what actions we might take, utilizing the power we hold, to help the people of our nation participate in the process of truth, reconciliation, and healing, now and long-term.

At this community conversation, PEAK will ask its members to share more about the grantmaking and advocacy work they do to support systems change, democracy, equitable practices, and grassroots movement-building.

Our intention is to open the doors wide to hear your voices, ideas, frustrations, and maybe even optimism, about the history that is being made by our actions in this moment. In all that we do, PEAK’s goal is to positively impact philanthropy, but we know we do that best by working together.

Note: The event will not be recorded.
