ABAG welcomes 2017 Annual Meeting Speaker, Paul Schmitz back to Baltimore for an interactive workshop to help funders explore how community engagement can advance their and their grantees' results.
Drawing from his 2016 Stanford Social Innovation Review article, "Community Engagement Matters (Now More Than Ever)", Paul will share tools and lead participants through a series of activities to help you consider your purpose, definitions and approaches to engagement in order to better work with communities, not for communities.
This workshop continues ABAG’s Democracy and the Social Sector Program Series, designed to stimulate conversations and action on democracy-strengthening activities at the local, state and federal level to promote effective philanthropy and build stronger communities.
