Over the past two years, the William Penn Foundation’s Creative Communities program has worked to revise its funding priorities, a process that was greatly informed by commissioned research conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago and Temple University.
- NORC at the University of Chicago’s The Outcomes of Arts Engagement for Individuals and Communities (January 2021) evaluates the myriad of individual, social, and community outcomes related to engagement with arts, culture, and public space.
- Temple University Department of Urban Planning’s The Benefits and Costs of Urban Public Spaces (October 2020), is an analysis of who uses public space, how they use it, and the benefits people can receive with sustained access to high-quality public spaces.
We invite you to join the Creative Communities program for a 75-minute webinar on Thursday, June 24 10:00 AM-11:15 AM on this research that explores the benefits of arts, culture, and public space, and to learn how these studies are informing our work moving forward.
Please note, the webinar will be recorded for those unable to join on June 24th.
