The Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) and Candid are releasing a report that examines philanthropic awards for the coronavirus pandemic from foundations, corporations, grantmaking public charities, and high-net-worth individuals from around the globe. With billions of dollars invested in COVID-19 response, the report sheds light on what we can learn about philanthropy’s response to COVID-19, based on data from the first half of 2020.
CDP has also issued grants totaling over $14.5 million across four of its grantmaking programs. These grants highlight the vulnerable issues facing communities around the world, across the U.S. and particularly here in the South, including disproportionate deaths amongst BIPOC communities, special needs of vulnerable populations especially people who are immigrants, refugees, homeless, undocumented, fleeing violence or working on the frontlines.
Join this webinar for a first look at the report and to hear from leaders who are supporting their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic while also managing other disasters across the region.
Speakers will include:
- Tanya Gulliver-Garcia, Assistant Director of Major Initiatives, CDP
- Sally Ray, Director, Strategic Initiatives, CDP
