Congress is about to release the final 2018 Farm Bill and it is expected to move quickly to pass the bill. The Farm to Fork Initiative* team is quickly collecting analysis from a wide range of policy experts on the bill. They are co-hosting a conference call with Sustainable Agriculture and Food System Funders (SAFSF) and the Walton Family Foundation on Thursday, December 13th from 4:00 – 5:00pm ET to provide food system funders with analysis of the bill’s impact on programs that reduce hunger, promote health and nutrition, support conservation, protect food and farm workers, and make food safer.
This Farm Bill briefing is tailored just for funders. During the briefing, we will provide an overview of what’s in the final bill, share takeaways on the strategy that led us here, and address outstanding concerns regarding implementation. Advocates representing a wide range of issues will join us to share their analysis.
