Giving Gap was formed in 2020 to help close the funding gap for Black-founded organizations by providing: 

• A searchable platform for individuals and institutions to explore and support Black-founded nonprofits. 
• Aggregated data that documents the unique strengths and needs of Black-founded nonprofits.  
• Campaigns to mobilize and increase giving to Black-founded nonprofits. 

Earlier this year, Giving Gap published The State of Black Nonprofits Report, highlighting the crucial role of Black-founded nonprofits in serving communities, driving positive change, and advocating for racial equity and justice.
