What is collaboration and how can it be valuable in promoting social good? Project leaders will share learnings from the Community Collaboration Initiative (CCI), a community-based participatory action research project by the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Focused on Muslim-led nonprofits, the project has lessons that are informative for the sector as a whole.
Join this session on April 26 to learn how marginalized communities can work together to further visions and missions with allies. It will also incorporate significant learnings from two related collaborative efforts: the $1M Muslim Collaboration Prizes and an outreach effort called Muslims in America: A Year of Learning for the Philanthropic Community. Watch this short video to learn more about the three-year project.
This session will cover topics including:
- The importance of centering the “why” in collaboration.
- How to move beyond cooperation into meaningful collaborative relationships.
- How thoughtful collaboration from the nonprofit ecosystem of funders and practitioners can further the journey toward diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.
