In part one of its Hurricane Dorian webinars, experts from the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) will discuss what’s happening in the Bahamas after the Category 5 storm and its unprecedented stalling.

Panelists will detail the current challenges, effective approaches and how best to support the unique needs of small islands in recovery. CDP President and CEO Robert G. Ottenhoff will moderate the discussion.

CDP launched the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season Recovery Fund in response to the needs that will arise following Hurricane Dorian and other storms that may hit throughout the Atlantic hurricane season. Details about the fund will be provided during the webinar.

This webinar is provided with generous funding from the UPS Foundation and is co-sponsored by the Council on Foundations, the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities and the Southeastern Council of Foundations.
