Over the past fifteen years, Philadelphia families have seen their public school options expand considerably. Some of these choices are attributable to charter school growth. But,
increasingly, more and more choices are being made available within the traditional public school structure.
Key to the success of this form of expanded public school choice is a growing interest in developing and sustaining innovative public-private partnerships.
Attend this March's Education First Compact and hear from the School District of Philadelphia and some of the partners with whom it has been working to introduce exciting and innovative new school models to students and neighborhoods in Philadelphia.
Learn of the opportunities such partnerships present. Hear of the challenges that confront such partnerships - both during the implementation and operations phase. And, most importantly, learn of the outcomes these new schools are affording Philadelphia's public school students.
