What does intersectional allyship for racial justice look like, concretely? What skills and tools can I use every day in my workplace and personal life to translate my commitment to racial justice into sustained actions?

In collaboration with Philanthropy New York, we are excited to partner with Service Never Sleeps (SNS) to bring you their powerful program, Allyship for Organizations, to funders only so that you are able to learn in a peer setting.

SNS defines Allyship as “an active way of life that utilizes bridge-building to ensure equality, opportunity, and inclusion by centering Black, Indigenous, and people of color and other marginalized people, working on the self, and influencing others.”

Delivered across two 3-hour sessions on consecutive days, this virtual training is an intensive, fast-paced webinar series designed to explore how to use individual and collective areas of privilege to advance racial justice in an intersectional context.

What will you learn?

Upon completing these workshops, you will be able to:

  • Use tools to be an active ally for racial justice through methods of naming white privilege, centering people of color, navigating intersectionality across identities, influencing others, and continuing your own self-work journey
  • Understand how to facilitate change in your own workspace
  • Adopt and commit to the Allyship lifestyle, which actively works towards promoting social justice for all, using SNS’ CLAIM framework (Care, Learn, Act, Influence, and Maintain)
