Join the Brandywine Health Foundation for its third virtual conversation, “Let’s Talk Unified Giving: Allyship.” to learn how effective allies actively amplify the voices of oppressed communities through intentional and conscious efforts to positively uplift marginalized communities.  The program, which is sponsored by Gawthrop Greenwood, promises to be a high energy, thoughtful panel discussion with several foundation leaders throughout the Philadelphia area sharing their thoughts on how to become an effective ally.

The panelists will engage in a dynamic and groundbreaking conversation about embarking on a racial equity journey.  Foundation leaders will share their perspective on what it means to be a passive versus active ally, help participants understand the barriers that interfere with their ability to change their personal behavior and organizational culture in order to make intentional change, and discuss what the philanthropic sector can do to be an authentic ally.

Panelists:

  • Sarah Martinez-Helfman, Samuel S. Fels Fund
  • Michelle Legaspi Sanchez, The Fund for Women & Girls
  • Joe Pyle, Scattergood Foundation
  • Jason Alexander, Brandywine Health Foundation (Board Member) and Capacity for Change LLC

Moderator:

  • Sidney Hargro, President, Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia
