Join the next Montgomery County Funders Community of Practice on Wednesday, April 20th to learn about Your Way Home Montgomery County’s most recent research project to understand how racial inequity plays out in our community. As a follow-up to its 2019 initial findings on racial equity and homelessness in Montgomery County, in early 2021, Your Way Home launched a project to redesign the Coordinated Entry “front door” system for housing and homeless services to be more culturally responsive, anti-racist and address known disparities in access and outcomes.

Dwayne Wharton and Dr. Alisa Orduna of Just Strategies, LLC and Kayleigh Silver, of the Montgomery County Department of Health & Human Services, will share highlights from this project and their recent organizational assessment equity report (see link below). We will discuss how this can serve as a guide toward addressing racial inequities in other systems and implications of this work for funders in our region.
