The Stoneleigh Foundation and the Bertelsmann Foundation are pleased to present a special fall film and discussion series examining issues of gentrification, displacement, protest, and democracy in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. The screenings will be followed by post-film discussions with a panel of expert speakers, including filmmaker and former Stoneleigh Emerging Leader Fellow Samuel George.

After winning a fight to restore voting rights for formerly convicted individuals on parole, returning citizens and community leaders go all in to engage marginalized communities in the democratic process. Their efforts in the face of misinformation, polarization, and a global pandemic are captured in Out to Vote: A Story of Redemption and Democracy, which highlights the powerful positive impact of democracy in action.
