Join the Funders’ Committee for Civic Participation (FCCP) and Marguerite Casey Foundation for a virtual conversation exploring how public dollars can be harnessed to build a robust, multiracial democracy. Transforming society into one that truly works for all requires bold, innovative organizing and experimentation. This panel will focus on how state resources—the people’s dollars—can be strategically leveraged to create thriving, inclusive communities.
Marguerite Casey Foundation is committed to supporting organizers, researchers, and policymakers who are working to ensure that public funding is directed toward the public good—especially in communities that have been historically excluded from civic participation and denied equitable access to resources.
This session will feature a panel of experienced organizers and nonprofit leaders who will share insights from recent campaigns and initiatives across the country aimed at reimagining public investment in communities that have long been sidelined. We’ll explore how we can reimagine public spending to better serve those who have been most marginalized, and how to strengthen civic engagement to make democracy more inclusive and representative of all people.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from leaders at the forefront of this critical work and engage in a conversation about how we can build a more equitable future with public dollars.
