How do we develop student pathways to college and the careers of today and tomorrow? How do we prepare learners for better opportunities and global competitiveness? Join this webinar to learn about U.S. ED’s new initiative: Unlocking Career Success, an interagency collaboration that reimagines how our nation’s high schools can prepare all students to thrive in their future careers. The initiative blurs the lines between high school, college and career, providing students with accelerated and innovative opportunities to earn college credits and gain real-world career experiences.
This joint effort across the U.S. Departments of Education, Labor and Commerce will support public and private sector leaders, government agencies, and other community-based organizations to help students earn postsecondary degrees and industry credentials that our employers need, and our economy demands. Participants will hear from U.S. ED staff about how they’re working to raise the bar for P-12 systems in coordination with higher education institutions and workforce partners. Learn how funders can engage with the departments to help move this collective agenda forward.
Speakers from the U.S. Department of Education:
- Dr. Amy Loyd, Assistant Secretary, Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education
- Luke Rhine, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education
