The United States’ withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Taliban’s takeover of the country has caused many Afghans to flee the country in fear for their lives, many due to their association with the U.S. mission.  The City of Philadelphia is one of the selected cities to welcome evacuees, with local refugee resettlement agencies taking a lead role. Those arriving in Philadelphia will need food, housing, medical attention, and legal support, beyond what is currently available through government aid. Join Philanthropy Network to learn how regional funders can respond to this evolving humanitarian crisis.
