A State Reps Morgan Cephas, Gina Curry, and La'Tasha Mayes from the PA Black Maternal Health Caucus and community members will discuss the Pennsylvania Momnibus, a legislative package modeled after the federal Momnibus legislation to: - Enhance maternal healthcare access - Address maternal health deserts - Ensure every birthing person in our state has the support they deserve.
From extending Medicaid coverage for doula services to requiring health-related boards to complete implicit bias training, the PA Momnibus aims to decrease maternal morbidity and mortality across the Commonwealth. As Black Maternal Health Week wraps up, this is a great opportunity to continue your advocacy and support for maternal health equity year-round!
