The American Rescue Plan of 2021 offers a historic opportunity to boost the economic well being of families and children, including critical temporary expansions to the child tax credit (CTC) and earned income tax credit (EITC) which will help families hit hardest by the pandemic. On September 2nd, ECFC resumes our Thursday call series for early childhood fundrs with an update on: national efforts to promote the expanded CTC; how funders are collaborating on outreach and advocacy for permanent expansion of the CTC; and the important role state and local funders can play in outreach to families in their communities.
Discussants will include Shelley Waters Booth, SWB Strategic Solutions, and Jonathan Hui, Program Officer – Detroit, The Kresge Foundation.
Participation is open to all funders and philanthropic organizations. Attendees are welcome to join us for any part of our discussion. A recording will be available following the discussion.
