(CHESTER COUNTY, PA – July 5, 2023): For almost 30 years, the Chester County Community Foundation has served as Chester County’s premier vehicle for local philanthropic giving. The Community Foundation encourages
“Capacity building provides grantees the opportunity to improve their organizational effectiveness,” notes Stephenie Stevens, Grants Director & Outreach Officer at the Chester County Community Foundation. “A capacity-building grant can help a nonprofit with additional training, a fundraising tool, a consultant, or help with strategic planning. We want to help strengthen the nonprofit communities in Chester County through this financial award.”
Capacity-building projects should strengthen a nonprofit, in areas including: Mission, Vision & Strategy, Governance & Leadership, Strategic Relationships, Fundraising & Development and Operations.
Eligible applicants must be charitable, tax-exempt organizations with 501(c)(3) certification. The Foundation cannot fund individuals.
The proposal format is available online at www.chescocf.org/receive/apply-for-grants/. Complete proposals include the 1-page Grant Proposal Summary Sheet, a brief Grant Proposal Narrative, and Attachments. E-mail proposals are strongly encouraged.
