As we approach elections that will be held this November and throughout 2024 at the local, state, and federal levels, we are reminded how crucial the fight is to both protect and expand our voting rights and electorate. While preparing for crises and emerging threats aimed to further erode our democracy is important, we have an opportunity to simultaneously build long term civic power for Black, Latino, and other communities of color that have long been excluded from full civic participation.
