REGISTRATION AND NETWORKING BEGIN AT 8:00 AM
In 2018, the City of Philadelphia and its partners released a citywide workforce development strategy designed to align workforce education and training to the needs of employers. Fueling Philadelphia’s Talent Engine provides a blueprint for ensuring residents across the city can build the skills needed to compete in the workforce.
The strategy — developed by stakeholders from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors — will drive workforce development efforts in Philadelphia.
Fueling Philadelphia’s Talent Engine has three goals:
- Prepare Philadelphians with the skills employers need for a world-class workforce.
- Address the barriers that prevent Philadelphians from accessing meaningful career opportunities.
- Build a workforce system that is more coordinated, innovative, and effective.
The recommendations and metrics for each goal provide workforce development stakeholders with a shared agenda to guide their efforts.
You can learn more by visiting the program’s site: Fueling Philadelphia's Talent Engine.
