The Greater Philadelphia Nonprofit Repositioning Fund invites Philadelphia-area funders to attend a discussion and reception with David La Piana, Founder and Managing Partner of La Piana Consulting on Thursday, April 12th from 5:00-6:30 PM at Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia.
David La Piana will be leading a workshop of pairs of nonprofit Executive Directors and their Chairs on the morning of April 13th. As part of his generous offer to provide this training on a pro bono basis to the Greater Philadelphia community, he has also offered to meet with funders in the region to discuss more generally the keys to successful board-CEO relationships. Funders are welcome to invite their board chairs, but regardless, you will have the opportunity to think about your own board relationships, as well as how to support grantees and this important dynamic. The discussion will focus not only on the chair-CEO dynamic, but also upon the relationship of senior management to the board more generally.
