Nov. 15 is National Philanthropy Day, a day when people around the country are invited to reflect and celebrate charitable acts — both financial gifts and acts of service for the benefit of others. I thought it only appropriate to acknowledge and celebrate the spirit of Gerry Lenfest on this day.

A New Giving Circle That is Exclusively Funding Black-led, Black-Serving Nonprofits

The Philadelphia Black Giving Circle (PBGC), launched in 2018 to distribute pooled funds to nonprofits in the Philadelphia area that are black-led and black serving, has finished accepting applications for its first round of grantmaking.
