What is the Potential for The American Rescue Act to be a game changer for children?

Hear about the breadth of opportunities created by this historic legislation and the critical decisions still to be made by the state and local government and school districts that will affect just how much the bill can make a difference in the lives of children. Join this sesson to learn  how the Act's funds can make our children healthier, can enable schools to make up for the lost learning and address the social isolation children have suffered this year and help more families access high-quality child care for their children.

Participants will also examine the ways the nutrition, education and child care funds can be best put to work for kids.

Hear from U.S. Senator Robert Casey and Congresspersons Madeleine Dean, Dwight Evans, Chrissie Houlahan, and Mary Gay Scanlon along with policy experts:

  • Carol Austin – First Up (Child Care);
  • Joanne Craig - Foundation for Delaware County (Child Nutrition);
  • Julia Hinkley – Policy Director, City of Philadelphia Managing Directors Office (Children’s Health Care);
  • Brian Hudson – Board Member, Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (Housing), and;
  • Ian Rosenblum – Assistant Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Education (Education)
