Stanford Social Innovation Review invites you to join them for a complimentary session at this year's Data on Purpose conference, “How not to use your data like a racist.

Heather Krause, founder of Datassist and We All Count, will lead this discussion, where we will explore how to effectively incorporate ethics and equity into data products, knowledge tools, and data analysis. The session will provide you with several shocking real-world examples of mistakes made by organizations using data which led to biased outcomes, and a seven-step framework for identifying inequity and hidden bias in the data product lifecycle. As interest in equity in data grows, this framework provides actionable steps for making changes in the way you and your team use data.

This session is open to anyone who wishes to join, regardless of whether or not you are registered for Data on Purpose. Registered attendees for Data on Purpose will have access to this session as part of their registration.
