Please join us for the first Delaware County Funders meeting of 2021!
We invite you to participate in a cross-sector conversation about civic engagement activities around the 2020 Census in Delaware County and how nonprofits had to pivot their outreach efforts as a result of the pandemic. Outreach efforts for a complete, accurate, and fair count were particularly challenging in 2020, especially with the enrollment period being a moving target.
We'll be hearing from leaders of nonprofits who were able to step up and be nimble in their outreach efforts as a result of funding from the Delco 2020 Census Action Fund. Their activities aimed to ensure that historically undercounted communities receive their fair share of federal dollars and representation for the next ten years, and we're honored to showcase their efforts at this meeting.
Speakers include:
- Jennifer Egmont, United Way of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey
- Jose Aguirre, PECO
- Cory Long, Making a Change Group, Chester
- Annette Pyatt, Chester Community Improvement Project
- Debbie Bordeur, Lansdowne Economic Development Corporation
- Portia Kamara, Multicultural Services Center
- Matilde Duenas, Centro de Apoyo Comunitario
- Daisy Artiles-Strekis, The Foundation for Delaware County

This meeting is open to all stakeholders engaged in supporting the vibrancy of Delaware County.
The Delco 2020 Census Action Fund was created through a partnership between The Foundation for Delaware County, Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, and the Delaware County Complete Count Committee.
