PHILADELPHIA-- Glenmede, a privately-held and independent investment and wealth management firm with over $40 billion in assets under management (AUM), is pleased to announce Nina L. Cohen, Director of Endowment & Foundation Advisory, has been appointed to the Exponent Philanthropy Board of Directors.
As Director of Endowment & Foundation Advisory at Glenmede, Cohen provides advisory and administrative services to foundations, endowments and other not-for-profit organizations. In addition, she assists individuals, families and organizations with charitable gift planning and the development of philanthropic strategies, while assisting Glenmede’s business development team in identifying and educating prospects about the services Glenmede offers. Cohen’s appointment to the Exponent Philanthropy Board will be facilitated through her role as a relationship manager with the George & Mary Kremer Foundation, of which Glenmede serves as corporate trustee.
“Nina has been a trusted advisor to foundations, endowments, individuals and families in all aspects of philanthropic planning for Glenmede for many years,” said Laura LaRosa, Director of Client Development at Glenmede. “She brings incredible experience to her position on the board of Exponent Philanthropy and we are extremely proud of her work with this important organization.”
“We are thrilled Nina has joined our board of directors as she brings experience and expertise from her many years as a foundation trustee, advisor and nonprofit leader,” said Henry Berman, CEO of Exponent Philanthropy. “She is a wonderful combination of head and heart – balancing the two for the good of the organization. For years she has been a trusted advisor to many of our members as a teacher in our seminars as well as providing me personally with wise counsel. Joining our board ‘formalizes’ her many years of service.”
Cohen currently serves as a board member of Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia and is on the Board of Advisors of Samost Jewish Family & Children’s Services and the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern New Jersey, where she previously served as president. She is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania, where she received her J.D., cum laude, and Temple University, where she graduated summa cum laude with an undergraduate degree in social work.
