The Nelson Foundation launched a new core grant program in 2023. The program aligns with the Foundation’s new mission and vision and is centered in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
In June, the foundation awarded its first Core Grants under this new equity-centered grant program. Each grantee partner was awarded a three-year grant of $60,000 to be paid in equal installments. The approved organizations are:
- Asian Americans United
- Beyond the Bars
- Coded by Kids
- Collegiate Bridge, Inc.
- FamFrequency Productions
- Girls First
- Horizons at Greene Street Friends School
- Need in Deed
- The Attic Youth Center
- The Monkey & The Elephant
- We Love Philly
- Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project
