Friday, June 24, 2022
Philadelphia, PA – June 23, 2022 – Philadelphia Foundation, in partnership with Points of Light and its local chamber partners, is pleased to announce The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia 2022 honorees. These 50 community-minded regional companies were determined by an independently administered and scored survey to be aligned with national standards for good corporate citizenship.

The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia is the first East Coast implementation of Points of Light’s national program, The Civic 50. This initiative showcases how local companies of all sizes are moving social impact, civic engagement, and community to the center of their business.

“We are thrilled to recognize a variety of exceptional changemakers at the inaugural Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia event,” said Pedro Ramos, President and Chief Executive Officer of Philadelphia Foundation. “Our region has a long history of community outreach and civic engagement, so we are honored to host one of the nation’s first regional Civic 50s to highlight the great work driven by our corporate and small business leaders alike. Positive impact begins at the local level. These 50 honorees demonstrate the power of that focus. On behalf of Philadelphia Foundation, we congratulate all the 2022 honorees.”

The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia honorees are public and private companies operating in the Philadelphia region. They have been selected based on four dimensions of their community engagement program:

  • Investment of resources
  • Integration across business functions
  • Institutionalization through policies and system
  • Impact measurement.

Since 2011, The Civic 50 has provided a national standard for superior corporate citizenship and has showcased how companies can use their time, skills, and other resources to drive social impact in their business and community.

“Points of Light believes that corporate leadership and commitment to civic engagement is critical to strengthening communities, and The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia honorees exemplify that,” said Natalye Paquin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Points of Light. “Their inclusiveness and comprehensive approach to corporate citizenship, as well as their responsiveness to reflect, learn from each other and respond to community needs, make the Greater Philadelphia region a better place for all. We are so pleased to recognize them for taking their civic responsibility seriously, and for the role they play in shaping their communities.”

The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia honorees were officially recognized on Thursday, June 23rd, at a celebratory event at the AmerisourceBergen Corporate Headquarters located in Conshohocken, PA.
