The Presser Foundation is pleased to announce another round of general operating support grants totaling $1,128,500.00 in new single- and multi-year grants to 114 music organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Area. In addition, the Foundation will honor ten multi-year commitments totaling $350,000.00. The number of music organizations given to is the most in the Foundation’s history in this grantmaking area, and their focus and size vary a great deal. The Foundation is proud to support music organizations working to make a difference in their community while significantly contributing to music and the arts in Greater Philadelphia.
William B. McLaughlin, III, Chair of the Advancement of Music Committee, commented, “The Presser Foundation received 121 proposals from music organizations across the Greater Philadelphia Area including 23 first-time applicants and 35 applicants with operating budgets below $100,000. These organizations, like so many across the nonprofit sector, are volunteer-run and community-based. The proposals received affirm our commitment to supporting music educating, music performing, and music presenting organizations of all sizes and genres.”

About The Presser Foundation
The Presser Foundation was established in 1939 under the Deeds of Trust and Will of the late music publisher Theodore Presser. It is one of the few private foundations in the United States dedicated solely to music education and music philanthropy. The Presser Foundation supports music organizations working in a broad range of traditions, genres, and styles through general operating and program grants to music organizations; capital grants for music building projects; undergraduate and graduate student awards; and assistance to retired music teachers.
