Philadelphia, PA — Impact100 Philadelphia has announced the award of $284,750 in unrestricted funds to five nonprofit organizations in the region. Representing the collective giving of 302 women members, funds are being awarded to five nonprofit organizations. In addition, $4,000 has been provided as honorariums to eight nonprofit organizations in recognition of the time and resources required to host a site visit.
Including these 2024 grants and awards, Impact100 Philadelphia members have provided over $5.1 million to regional nonprofits since the organization’s founding in 2008.
Each of the following organizations has received an award as determined by the vote of Impact100 members.
Rock to the Future
Grant Amount: $28,250
Focus Area: Arts & Culture
Rock to the Future provides consistent, high-quality, and student-driven music programs in-school, after school, and during the summer at no cost for over 1,100 Philadelphia County children and teens from under-resourced zip codes in schools, community locations, and juvenile justice facilities. Only 14 years old, they have an impressive portfolio of 5 different programs and 14 locations.
Tree House Books
Grant Amount: $100,000
Focus Area: Education
The mission of Tree House Books is to enhance people’s lives through books and literacy and uplift the neighborhood through a commitment to equity, social change, and justice. They create literacy programs for students of all ages, build home libraries by providing free books, and foster community year-round through events and programming.
Norris Square Neighborhood Project
Grant Amount: $28,250
Focus Area: Environment
Norris Square Neighborhood Project unites and inspires youth and families using the strengths of their community: shared cultural wisdom, creative energies, and environmental spaces and experiences. Programs are designed to create green spaces to preserve land, build community and culture, and train youth leaders for future roles in the community with emphasis on agriculture. NSNP is guided by three foundational pillars: 1) Stewardship of community land; 2) Youth leadership development; and 3) Preserving culture and history.
Family Support Line (FSL) of Delaware County’
Grant Amount: $100,000
Focus Area: Family
Family Support Line (FSL) of Delaware County’s mission is to advance the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. FSL provides a continuum of services to support a coordinated and complete response to crime victim’s needs through advocacy, treatment, and prevention education. By collaborating with over 60 agencies, they make sure the victim and their family receive the services and support they need. There is a growing need with shrinking government funding and program support for these services.
Health Care Access
Grant Amount: $28,250
Focus Area: Health & Wellness
Health Care Access’s (HCA) mission is to improve the health and quality of life in the greater Phoenixville area by helping the uninsured and underinsured overcome financial and cultural barriers to obtaining specialized health care. Maintaining great relationships with a network of healthcare providers in the area enables them to provide multiple types of preventive and emergency care assistance through their Dental, Vision, Mammogram and Prescription assistance programs.
