In an era of rising authoritarianism, well-funded attacks on social justice organizations are an on-going threat to the progressive ecosystem. Increasingly, movement organizations are facing numerous obstacles including: petty fines and threats to organizations’ tax status; lawsuits; legislation intent on limiting the activities of movement organizations; and digital, political, and personal security threats. No matter the outcome of the 2024 election, a thriving, multi-entity ecosystem of 501(c)3, 501(c)4, PACs, and even corporate entities are needed to build durable, long-term power.
Join FCCP and the Funders' Committee Action Fund (FCAF) on Tuesday, December 3 from 1-2:30 PM ET for the second webinar in the How We Built This multi-entity series. In partnership with New Left Accelerator (NLA) and The Capacity Shop (TCS), the series brings people together to discuss the threats and challenges facing our movements in the wake of the 2024 election, as well as how funders can invest more deeply into organizations that enable them to more effectively weather emerging threats.
