In response to the 2022 Brandywine Hospital closure, leaders from the community representing nearly 20 local and county organizations convened to develop long-term equitable health access strategies, resulting in the recent opening of the new Equity Health Center.
With this latest round of funding, more than $13 million has been deployed in eight weeks to nearly 400 regional nonprofits addressing critical community needs.
In fourth round of distributions, 101 regional nonprofits receive more than $3.25 million, including ten organizations providing medical care to vulnerable communities.
