Chester County’s Commissioners have stepped up to help local nonprofits recover from the impact of COVID-19. Through the Restore Chester County Nonprofit Innovation & Resiliency Fund, the Commissioners obtained $3.5 million in federal CARES Act funding.
The Nonprofit Innovation & Resiliency Fund was administered by the Chester County Community Foundation with input from regional funders, United Ways, and Chester County government departments

he William Penn Foundation today announced 90 grants totaling more than $8 million to support nonprofit organizations focused on families’ basic needs and children’s education as Philadelphians continue to be impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In its second round of grants, the COVID-19 Prevention & Response Fund made grants totaling $668,885 to 84 individuals and nonprofit organizations working to increase COVID-19 education, vaccine access, health resources, and outreach activities in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, and Chester counties.
