During the season of giving, Foundations Community Partnership’s (FCP) Board of Directors awarded $166,350 in grants to 21 non-profit organizations serving Bucks County, including 13 Bucks Innovation and Improvement Grants (BIIG), seven Capital Improvement Grants, and one Nonprofit Growth Grant.
The Transformation Award provides unrestricted annual awards of $15,000 to women, trans*, and gender nonconforming artists and cultural producers living in greater Philadelphia who create art for social change and have done so for the past five years or more, demonstrating a long-term commitment to social change work.
Elders sixty and over represent 20% of Philadelphia’s population – a total of 316,478 aging men and women. Of those, 21% live below the poverty level, 29% don’t have social security, and 50% live alone. Additionally, 30% report ambulatory difficulty, 12% report cognitive difficulty, and 20% report difficulty living independently.
This event is part of #FCPresents, a series launched by FCP in 2022 to strengthen the sector by inviting thought leaders to share their expertise.
Grants include $4.5M to expand maternal home visiting services, $2.5M to focus on LGBTQ+ youths’ well-being, and $750K to address educator workforce needs.
Local grant makers BLBB Charitable, Bucks County Foundation, and Foundations Community Partnership are launching a new joint funding collaborative offering eligible nonprofits the opportunity to apply for a $75,000 grant.
