Rebuild is the City of Philadelphia’s initiative to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and libraries. Just over a year after the Rebuild’s first groundbreaking, we invite to join a conversation about how collaborative funding can advance individual funders’ priorities while also driving change on a much larger scale.
Join us to hear from a panel of partner organizations that are working with Rebuild to realize the program’s impact. The discussion will use Rebuild projects in Kensington and Harrowgate as examples of how Rebuild is advancing the following priorities across the city:
- Investing equitably across communities in Philadelphia
- Complementing existing neighborhood revitalization efforts
- Elevating the voice of community members
- Helping to strengthen and grow small, diverse businesses
- Preparing more people of color and women to achieve family sustaining careers in construction
The panel will be moderated by Rebuild Deputy Director David Gould, and panelists will include:
- Pati Codina, Community Development Director for Impact Services, a nonprofit managing Rebuild projects in Kensington and Harrowgate
- Lou Rodriguez, Chair of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and CEO and Founder of Rodriguez Consulting, a minority owned business working on Rebuild projects in Kensington and Harrowgate
- Quaiser Abdullah, President and CEO of Statera Coaching and Leadership Consulting, a partner on Rebuild’s workforce development programs
