Now in its second year, Pottstown Play Streets will have the first of its seven summer events on Thursday, June 15 at Maple Street Park.

A committee of community stakeholders has formed to help connect those impacted by the Pottstown Hale Street explosion with community resources and support funds.

The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation announced a total of $13,152 awarded to Pottstown area schools as part of the Medical University of South Carolina’s Boeing Center for Children’s Wellness (BCCW) School-Based Wellness Initiative.

The foundation awarded 34 grants totaling $71,950 through the COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Fund. Applications for the next round of micro business grants will be accepted July 6-13.

POTTSTOWN, May 5—With the announcement of a $100,000 matching grant, The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation and the Foundation for Pottstown Education are providing a way for the community to help students in the borough continue their education during the coronavirus pandemic.

Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation has awarded $1,126,826 to 37 nonprofits, schools, and municipalities in support of three program areas: Healthy Behaviors-Parks, Healthy Behaviors-Networks, and Physical and Emotional Health.

Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation’s (PAHWF) will host its annual health and wellness conference, Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds Institute (HBHM), on August 7.
