The Fund for The School District of Philadelphia has announced 16 winning public-school projects that will receive grant funding for programming aimed at introducing Black, Latinx and female students to potential careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The Independence Blue Cross Foundation announced new grant funding for a collaboration with Temple University’s College of Public Health and Department of Nursing to create a direct pathway to nursing from high school to college for students of color.
This session will provide a follow up to our June session, Advancing Equitable and Adequate School Funding in PA. Along with updates on the status of the Pennsylvania school funding lawsuit, speakers will provide guidance on outcomes grantmakers should realistically expect when supporting advocacy and organizing work.
The new Nonprofit Justice and Equity Institute is a series of learning sessions designed to support the nonprofit sector in its commitment to recognize and mitigate the deeply rooted inequities experienced by its most marginalized community members, including those experienced by the Black and Brown communities.
